Every Storm Bolt Roofing roof replacement includes a tiered workmanship warranty of 5, 10 or 15 years, alongside the manufacturer’s own warranty on the shingles themselves. This page explains the difference between the two, what each one actually covers, and the things homeowners most often do by accident that put coverage at risk.

Your term is confirmed in writing before you sign, and it appears on your estimate and closeout paperwork. If a contractor will not put the workmanship term on paper, that is worth asking about before you commit.
Repairs or additions made by someone else after our installation are the single most common reason coverage lapses. Call us first.

Two separate things cover two separate risks. The manufacturer warranty comes from the shingle maker — GAF, Owens Corning, CertainTeed, TAMKO, Atlas or Malarkey — and covers defects in the shingle itself. The workmanship warranty comes from us and covers how the roof was installed: flashing, fastening, ventilation and detail work. A perfect shingle installed wrong will still leak, which is why you want both.
We offer a tiered workmanship warranty of 5, 10 or 15 years. Which tier applies depends on the roofing system and materials selected for your home. We tell you the term in writing before you sign, and it is stated on your paperwork — not left for you to discover later.
Ask us before you list. Transferability depends on the tier and the manufacturer system involved, so we confirm what applies to your specific roof in writing rather than making a blanket promise here.
The most common causes are work performed by another contractor after ours, pressure washing, walking the roof unnecessarily, added penetrations such as satellite mounts or vents cut in after the fact, and blocked or altered ventilation. Storm damage is not a warranty claim — that is an insurance matter, and we can document it for you.
