The family behind Storm Bolt Roofing

Why we started, what we believe a roofing company owes a homeowner, and the shortcuts we decided from day one we would never take.

Where it began

A family trade, not a franchise

Storm Bolt Roofing is a family-owned contractor based in Spring, Texas, serving the greater Houston area. Owner Eloy Pico brings 20+ years of roofing experience — and the Pico family still answers the phone, walks the roofs and stands behind every job.

The company exists because of a pattern the family kept seeing after every Gulf Coast storm: homeowners handed a number on a clipboard, told their roof was “totaled,” and left to wonder whether any of it was true. Nobody showed them a photo. Nobody explained the claim. And half of Houston was being asked to make a five-figure decision in a language that was not their own.

So the answer was simple, if not easy: show people their own roof. Explain it in whichever language they actually speak. Put the price in writing. Then let them decide without anybody standing over them.

Family-Owned

Local owners who answer the phone and stand behind the work.

Bilingual

Every step explained clearly in English or Spanish.

Documented

Drone and ground photos from first inspection to final cleanup.

Warranty-Backed

Workmanship warranty and long-term local support.

Our line in the sand

What we decided never to do

Every one of these is a way roofing companies win work in Houston. We do not use any of them.

No scare tactics

We show you photos of your actual roof and tell you what we see. If a repair makes more sense than a replacement, we say so — even though a repair is the smaller invoice.

No deductible games

Texas Insurance Code §707.057 makes it illegal for a contractor to waive or absorb your deductible. Plenty still offer. We do not, and we will tell you why.

No leaving town

We live and work here. When the out-of-state crews that followed the last hailstorm are gone, the same phone number still reaches the same family.

How we work

The process came from the complaints

Every step in our process exists because a homeowner somewhere was left in the dark by it. Drone photos, because “trust me, it's bad up there” is not evidence. Written scope, because verbal promises evaporate. A walkthrough at the end, because the last day of a roofing job is when the small things get skipped.

The result is boring in the best way: you know what is happening, when, and what it costs, from the first inspection through installation day and the warranty that backs it.

What has not changed

Four promises we started with

Show the evidence

Photos of your roof, not adjectives about it.

Say it plainly

Written estimates in ordinary language, English or Spanish.

Do it right

Correct underlayment and flashing, clean deck, magnetic nail sweep.

Stay reachable

The same local number after the job, not a call center.

Questions

Working with a family-owned roofer

Who owns Storm Bolt Roofing?

Eloy Pico is the sole owner, with 20+ years of roofing experience. The family is involved day to day — on inspections, on job sites and on the phone.

Are you big enough to handle a full replacement?

Yes. We run full tear-off and replacement projects across greater Houston with our own crews and trusted manufacturers, and every project is photo-documented from tear-off to final sweep. See recent projects.

Do you really work in Spanish?

Yes — inspections, estimates, contracts and the crews themselves. The entire site exists in Spanish for the same reason.

What happens if something goes wrong later?

You call the same number and reach the same company. Our workmanship warranty and the manufacturer coverage on your materials are explained on the warranty page before you sign anything.

Can I meet the team before committing?

You will. The free inspection is done in person by the people who would do the work — and there is no obligation attached to it. You can also read what neighbors say or come to one of our community events.
