Roofing Questions Houston Homeowners Ask Us
Short, honest answers from a Spring, TX roofer — and one clear next step when you need more than an answer.
How soon can someone look at my roof?
Usually within 24–48 hours of your call. If water is coming in or a storm just went through, say so when you call — active leaks and storm damage go to the front of the line, with same-day or emergency response when we can.
Does insurance cover my roof, and what do you do on the claim?
Whether your policy covers the damage is your insurer’s call, not ours. What we do is hand you the documentation a claim needs: photos, measurements and a written contractor estimate. We are a roofing contractor, not a public adjuster. For how policies usually treat sudden storm damage versus wear and tear, see does insurance cover a roof leak in Texas?
Are you a public adjuster?
No. A public adjuster negotiates a claim on your behalf, and we do not do that. Storm Bolt inspects, documents and provides a contractor estimate you can submit; the decision stays between you and your insurer.
Will you cover or “eat” my deductible?
No — and be careful with anyone who offers. Texas law bars contractors from paying, waiving or rebating a homeowner’s insurance deductible. Our guide to the roof insurance deductible in Texas explains how it works, and storm chaser roofing scams in Texas shows how to verify a roofer before you sign.
My roof is leaking right now. Can you tarp it?
Yes. Emergency tarping is one of our core services: we get a temporary cover over the damaged area fast so water stops coming in while the permanent fix is planned.
What is the 60-second estimate?
A quick online form. Tell us about your home and roof, add photos if you have them, and you get a preliminary price range plus the recommended next step — no visit needed to see the range.
Is that online number my final price?
No, it is a starting range. The final price comes after an inspection and measurements, once you have chosen materials and we have confirmed the scope of work in writing.
Can I do all of this in Spanish?
Sí. Hablamos español — on the phone, at the inspection and at the kitchen table. This entire website is available in Spanish too.
Which parts of the Houston area do you cover?
We are based in Spring and work across Greater Houston — Houston, The Woodlands, Cypress, Tomball, Katy, Conroe, Humble, Kingwood, Sugar Land, Pearland and the communities around them.
Can I finance a new roof?
Yes. Financing options are available; ask what is current when we talk, or visit our Financing page.
