GAF Shingles We Install
The GAF lines we order most for Houston-area homes, and what separates them.
GAF is the roof we install most often here, mostly for unglamorous reasons: the Timberline family is stocked at every local supply house, the colors stay in production, and a repair five years from now can still be matched. That matters more than it sounds.
GAF Shingles We Install
Availability moves with the market. We confirm the exact line, color, and written warranty in your proposal before anything is ordered.
Timberline HDZ
The workhorse architectural shingle and the default on most of our replacements. Wide nailing zone, which is exactly where sloppy installs go wrong.
Most installedTimberline UHDZ
A thicker, heavier profile in the same family. Noticeably more shadow line from the curb, at a step up in price.
UpgradeTimberline AS II
The impact-rated option (UL 2218 Class 4). Worth pricing if your home has taken hail or your carrier rates impact-resistant roofs differently.
Impact-ratedGrand Sequoia
Oversized tabs that read as a wood shake from the street. A designer line, priced accordingly.
DesignerCamelot II
Sculpted, slate-look luxury shingle for homes where the roof is part of the architecture.
LuxuryRoyal Sovereign
The 3-tab. Flat profile, lowest cost, still a legitimate choice on rentals and tight budgets.

Easy to Match Later
GAF colors stay in production longer than most. A repair years from now is far less likely to look like a patch.
Stocked Locally
Every Houston-area supply house carries the Timberline family, so storm season doesn't turn into a six-week wait.
A Full System
Starter, hip and ridge, leak barrier, and ventilation all come from the same line, so the components are made to work together.

Questions Homeowners Ask
Is Timberline HDZ enough for a Houston roof?
For most homes, yes. It is the shingle we install most, and installed correctly with balanced ventilation it performs well here. Where we would push you to look higher is hail history or a long stay in the home.
What's the real difference between HDZ and UHDZ?
Weight and shadow line. UHDZ is a thicker shingle with a deeper look from the curb. It is a visual and durability upgrade, not a different category of product.
Do you install the impact-rated GAF shingle?
Yes — Timberline AS II. Ask your insurer what an impact-rated roof does to your premium first, then we'll quote it beside the standard option so you can compare real numbers.
